This Privacy Policy explains how TrueRoof HQ collects, uses, and shares information from people who visit trueroofhq.com or use our services. It is written in plain English on purpose.

Information we collect

  • Information you provide. When you request a roofer match, contact us, or sign up for our free guide, you give us information such as name, email, phone, ZIP code, state, and details about your roofing project.
  • Project-related information you voluntarily share. Some forms ask about roof type, project type (repair, replacement, storm damage), timeline, and whether you're filing an insurance claim. We collect this only to provide the service you requested.
  • Automatic information. Like most websites, we collect device, browser, IP address, referral source, and usage data through cookies and analytics tools.

How we use information

  • To match you with a vetted roofer when you request that match
  • To deliver the free guide, articles, and communications you sign up for
  • To improve the site, content, and tools
  • To comply with legal obligations and prevent fraud

When we share information

  • Vetted roofers. When you request a roofer match, we share the information you submit with the vetted participating roofer(s) in your area you're matched with.
  • Service providers. Vendors who host the site, send emails, process payments, or provide analytics, under written agreements that limit their use of your information.
  • Legal reasons. If required by law, subpoena, or to protect the rights and safety of users or the public.
  • Affiliate links. When you click a recommendation and complete a purchase, the merchant may share aggregate referral information with us. We do not sell your individual information to advertisers.
  • Mobile phone numbers and SMS opt-in data are never shared or sold to third parties for their own marketing purposes. Phone numbers you provide for roofer matching are shared only with the vetted roofers you explicitly request to be contacted by.

SMS / text message program

If you opt in to the TrueRoof HQ SMS program, we collect the mobile phone number you provide and a record of your opt-in (timestamp, page, IP address, and consent language shown). We use this information to send the messages you consented to and to honor opt-out requests.

Frequency: Up to 6 messages per month per program (marketing and service). Message and data rates may apply.

HELP and STOP: Reply HELP to any TrueRoof HQ text message for help. Reply STOP to any TrueRoof HQ text message to opt out at any time.

We do not sell or share mobile phone numbers or SMS opt-in data with third parties for their own marketing purposes, including affiliates and advertising partners. Opt-in data is used only to operate the SMS program you subscribed to. Phone numbers you provide for roofer matching are shared only with the vetted roofers you explicitly request.

Communications and consent

If you opt in to email, SMS, or phone contact, you can change your preferences or unsubscribe at any time by replying STOP to any text message, or by contacting support@trueroofhq.com. Consent is not required to use educational resources on the site.

We use cookies and similar technologies to remember preferences, measure performance, and improve the site. You can configure your browser to refuse cookies, but some site features may not work properly.
